Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School

Welcome to our school website. We hope it provides you with an insight into our school.

It is a privilege to lead St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School and we are proud to share with you the wonderful work that takes place here at St Joseph’s. Our school is truly a wonderful place, where all children are loved, cherished and nurtured. It is a vibrant school where children are happy, confident and enthusiastic in their learning.

We are part of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust and belong to the Catholic community of Sacred Heart Hemsworth & St Joseph’s Moorthorpe, where we have built strong relationships with our Parish Priest, Father Anthony.

We are truly blessed to work alongside a team of fantastic teachers who have worked hard to ensure the curriculum offer at St Joseph’s is not only engaging and exciting, but meets the needs of all pupils, allowing them to become model citizens in Modern Britain. We ensure that children  foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. Individual talents are spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential. There is a strong emphasis on the Catholic faith at St Joseph’s and our children are taught to live by the virtues so their ‘character’ can flourish as a whole person.

“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)

The school has a dedicated team of staff and governors that work hard to reach high standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents, the local community and the other schools in the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and regard you as an active partner in your child’s education and value your interest and support.

If your child is new to the school, we warmly welcome you and look forward to a successful partnership between home and school. If your child already attends St Joseph’s, we will work with you to build on the existing links, by providing the best education possible. If you would like your child to attend our school, then please, get in touch – we’d love to hear from you.

Our website will be updated on regular occasions and grow over time as we add more information, but can never replace the first-hand experience of coming to visit us. If you would like to visit the school, please feel free to get in touch.
